Welcome back to our blog! It has been a while since I have stepped away from blogging, but I am back now!
My first post is going to be on the 2025 BMW X3, which is one the THE best selling, hottest compact SUV’s. I actually just sold my 2021 BMW X3, and less than a month later, ended up with a 2025 BMW X3 as a loaner for about a month. Therefore, what better time than now to start my blog up again!

To start my review, I will say this. I am a little mixed on the new BMW X3’s. I was and am still a huge fan of the previous X3’s, however the new X3’s didn’t grab my attention right away like the previous model. For starters, the new X3’s have a lot of road noise…which I cant stand. I can understand road noise on a less expensive brand, but BMW’s should not have road noise. I previously had a BMW 640i that also had road noise, which I ended up selling…..with road noise being one of the reasons.

Aside from the road noise and the flimsy door panel buttons, everything else about this vehicle is great. 255 Horsepower, 295 Torque, 48V mild hybrid battery coupled with a Turbo 2.0 engine, the powertrain on this vehicle is not bad at all. Add Xdrive to this mix, and the vehicle is a great daily driver, and good for trips. The vehicle is more than enough room for 4 or even 5 adults, depending on the size of the adults, and has decent trunk space. Trunk space is not GREAT, but good enough. Whenever we needed to transport anything large, we had to fold the back seats down.

Some people have complained about how stiff the new X3’s suspension is now, however personally I actually like the stiffer suspension. Reminded me of the older Toyota 4Runners stiff suspension. You can tow roughly 4000 lbs with this vehicle, and for regular driving you get roughly 30 MPG combined. As I have mentioned earlier this vehicle is a really great powertrain, however I do not particularly like how the vehicle is tuned. When you don’t give the vehicle a lot of throttle, the car feels really heavy, and it “Feels” like the car is lacking power. However when you step on the gas, the Turbo and and the mild hybrid battery give this car a boost that makes acceleration feel really fast. So you definitely know that this vehicle does not lack power, however when driving regularly….it can feel like it. Other BMW’s like the 2 Series, 3 Series, 5 Series did not have this issue, although the specs and engines were very similar.

Now there is a M50 version of the X3 that I have not driven yet, but I can only imagine how well this vehicle will run with an Inline 6 engine, and 393 Horsepower.
As I have mentioned in the beginning of this post, I was really impressed with all of the newer BMW’s that I drove, and I was ready to buy each one…….except for this X3. With that being said, if you look at the price of this vehicle ($58,157 for this particular one) and the performance you do get, I probably would choose this one over it’s competitors like the Mercedes GLB / GLC, or the Audi Q5. I will put a link to a video of this vehicle below.
